Cost-of-living crisis to blame for Phoenix’s demise

A company set up to buy the business and assets of Slough-based Mark Priestley SDT, which entered insolvency proceedings last year, has failed to make payments in line with the agreed terms, according to the administrator.

Unsecured creditors of Canute Haulage Group and its successor are set to be left almost £11m out of pocket after last year’s doubleheader of collapses.

DHL has said it is too soon to know the impact that the collapse into administration of its client BHS will have on its operations.
