HGV drivers could face ‘Highway to Hell’ as M25 emergency workers ballot for strikes, union warns

Royal Mail said it did not recognise the figures Unite claimed were being cut from its delivery work and questioned why it was balloting for strike action after its restructure was completed.

Royal Mail has called the threat of strike action by members of the Communications Workers Union (CWU) “harmful”, ahead of the union’s meeting this week to decide whether a ballot should be held.

DHL said any disruption with deliveries to Sainsbury’s stores in the South East would be minimised after staff at its Dartford distribution depot voted for strike action.
