Over two thirds of logistics firms are predicting that Brexit will have an adverse effect on their business whilst more than half are unhappy at the level of government support, a report from Logistics UK and accountancy firm CBW has revealed.
Delegates at this year’s Microlise Conference were divided on whether exiting the EU would have a negative impact on the road transport industry, according to event figures.
The industry has hit back at the government’s warning that there will be queues 7,000-trucks-long blocking Kent unless it gets its paperwork in order by the end of the transition period, accusing it of avoiding responsibility for its own mismanagement.
