TfL opens latest Direct Vision Standard consultation, but FTA urges a refocus on new HGV technology

Pressure on the supply chain in northern France mounted yesterday after a fire in the Grande-Synthe migrant camp near Dunkirk burnt the settlement to the ground.

The FTA has come out in favour of Manston Airport as a short to medium term contingency for Operation Stack, after it was revealed the government had paid approaching £6m to rent it.

Transport for London (TfL) has proposed refusing to accept congestion charge payments from unauthorised third parties in an attempt to clamp down on ‘bogus’ services which often look like its official payment site but can charge vehicle owners excessively in order to pay for the charge.
